25.12.10 - Santa was in town

Apparently I've been a good girl this year too. Christmas Eve was wonderful with great food, lovely company and everything that I wanted underneath the Christmas tree. I'm spending the holidays with my hubby's family in the west coast; a very small, but relaxing place. Tradition is the key word here, but it's kind of refreshing once a year. True to tradition, we overate and spent too much money on gifts. Here are some of my favourite moments:

23.12.10 - Pause and a brand new me

Needless to say it has been a while, but this is me trying to get back on track. I have kind of been preoccupied with other things lately, good and bad (mostly good) which means that this might not be my first prioritize. I will however do my best to post a couple of things for your (and sometimes my) amusement.

15.11.10 - Girly Frilly

I did a bit of shopping today. Found this cute dress at H&M which kind of surprised me that I really liked. Honestly, although it seems like it by recent posts, I'm not really into the girly feminine style. I like it on others, but on me I like something more edgy. It probably has something to do with the fact that I'm petite and as I often get reminded when I go clubbing,  look quite young for my age. As a result I like to do the whole rock chick thing so not to look like a 16 year old high school girl. Hopefully I will not end up looking like one in this dress. Will show you the result some other time.

14.11.10 - Bambus

I haven't been feeling quite well this weekend so I've mostly stayed in and relaxed. Needless to say, I was feeling a bit restless today so my lovely husband took me out for dinner. We went to Bambus, one of our favorite Asian restaurant. As their menu is quite varied (you can order anything from the Asian cuisine) one would think that there would be a lack of quality. But every dish that I've tried has been really good especially the sushi. And the best part is that it looks so appealing. Appearance is everything, even in the world of food.

13.11.10 - A bit of a fan actually

As you may have noticed, I'm a big fan of X-factor UK. And my favorite, well Rebecca Ferguson of course. Like Louis would tell it: She is a class act! I would buy her album.

12.11.10 - Bringing summer back

As winter is creeping in, I wanted to bring summer back with my ribbon bow dress. I bought this dress at Spitalfields Market in London. Sadly I wasn't able to wear it much because of the weather. So from time to time, I wear it at home, dreaming about warm summer days.

11.11.10 - Maximize

It's been really easy for me to embrace the maxi skirt trend, but quite impractical at the moment as winter is creeping in. Dragging your long wet skirt through the snow is not really an ideal situation. So looking, as always, forward to summer and therefore browsing through spring and summer collections. Loving this combination from J.Crew of glitzy glam embellished maxi skirt with a plain denim shirt.

10.11.10 - Like Christmas

I finally was able to leave work at a reasonable time today, which meant that I could stop by the post office before closing time. Rushed home to open the packages. Almost felt like a little kid on Christmas eve. I love the jewelries from Talullah Tu. The pics taken doesn't really do it justice so go and check out the website.

08.11.10 - Love Actually

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion... love actually is all around. "

It's been a really busy week for me at work which is the reason for the lack of post. I'll be working this weekend too, but I'll try to squeeze in some time. It's been hectic, but I'm hanging in there as I know there are so many things to look forward to. Starting with this:

01.11.19 - Tea and Cake

Just a quick second post to say that I carry with me in my bag a pretty little thing every single day: my Mulberry wallet. I love that it says: "We believe in tea and cake".

01.11.10 - Starry Starry night

A trip to Ikea usually entitles purchasing of unnecessary items. You get the feeling that for some reason you really need these items, but when you get home you tuck it in the closet and completely forget about it.

I'm usually the one who acquires this bad habit once I enter the building. This time I wasn't alone. My significant other really felt the need to buy a lanterne. He wanted to place it on the balcony to create a warm ambiance. I must admit that I gave him the look: What the..??,  but now that it's out there, it's actually quite cosy.

30.10.10 - Datenight

We turned down Halloween parties for a night in. Key ingredients; pretty little skirt, rice and chicken and homemade Oreocake. I bought the skirt a couple of days ago at H&M. I've already worn it three times and it's my favorite garment at the moment. Hoping the snow will stay away for a couple more weeks which will enable me to wear it more.
