Rule Britannia

I'm sure I'm not the only one who benched in front of the tele today to watch the Royal Wedding. I even shed a tear. Would have blame it on my hormonal pregnant state, but the truth is I would have needed the kleenex even without the bump. Being a huge fan of the UK, feeling like it's my second home (or first if I could choose), I feel a real attachment to the British people. It helps having spent many summers over the pond and having lived there for a year.

Although I had to leave in the middle of the ceremony to make my doctor's appointment, I did manage to get a glimpse of the most important thing; her dress. One word; stunning.

Easter in the sun

The weather last week was truly amazing. Healthwise I'm in dire need of a lie-in every hour or so, but I didn't want that to stop me from being out in the sun. Luckily my husband has been by my side taking me on mini road trips and making sure that I get my much needed breaks. A wonderful and relaxing Easter break.

Balcony has been in good use. I know I've been living in my maxi dress lately, but so comfy.

Confessions of a pregnant woman - week 28: Final leg, 3rd trimester

Maxi dress from Bikbok

The final leg. It's like running a marathon (or so I imagine). Every muscle in your body hurts and you just want to give up, but as you come up to the final mile you somehow find the strength to keep on going.  I'm pretty much right up to this point. But enough said about the struggle. I have given it enough space as it is and positivity is my main motto these days.

The sun is more eager these days and I can finally step outside the door without being afraid of sliding on the ice. For a while there I walked the streets like a penguin. Now I just walk like an elephant, bigger but steadier steps. It may not seem like it, but it is a vast improvement from the penguin walk. On another account, the sun is also actually enabling me to enjoy some fresh air even on the days where I can't get out of the apartment. Post noon you can usually see me dragging myself out on the balcony with my big steady steps, slightly moving from side to side due to dizziness, and lounging myself on one of the chairs. An added bonus is if the baby starts kicking, then you see me lounging on one of the chairs with a big smile on my face. And lastly you might catch me lounging in this pretty dress soon:

China girl

Chinese takeaway taste so much better in these containers. I hardly see them here in Norway, but was over the moon when the place Sushiexpressen delivered the food in these lovely boxes. Takeaway meals has kind of been our staple diet these days as we are redoing our kitchen. And yes, one can actually get sick and tired of not being able to cook ones own meal. However, the little pleasures in life can make it better like these pretty containers.

Birthday bash

I was exhausted and have been spending days recuperating, but it was all worth it. I spent the weekend celebrating my birthday with five of my lovely friends at Holsmbu Spa. It couldn't have turned out any better (not even the big theme birthday party I planned out in my head a couple of years back could have been better). All we did was just relax and eat and it was just perfect. Thank you so much to the girls for the company and my husband for the lovely present.

We stayed at one of these villas

On my actual birthday I was so tired from the weekend activities that I just stayed at home relaxing. We did manage to grab a quick bite at this Indian restaurant near by in the evening. All in all a perfect ending to a very relaxing celebration.

About a boy

Turning 30 I thought it was about time that I purchased my first lipstick and what better way to start than Chanel.

I've never really been a lipstick person as I feel they tend to dry out my lips. However this one from Chanel in the shade Boy is really moisturizing and longlasting. The color is quite neutral and very wearable. An added bonus of course for the sleek design which always follows all Chanel products. Feeling chic and all grown-up by carrying it around with me in my bag.

A million thanks

Turning the big 3-0 didn't turn out to be so bad in my state thanks to these lovely people. More to come.
