Had a little visit from our little niece this weekend. Vidar and his brother bought her this pink skirt on her first day in Oslo and she wore it nonstop. Probably the coolest kid in town.

It's a baby's world

We were suppose to venture out on a little roadtrip to Gothenburg last weekend to buy things for the baby. It's meant to be a lot cheaper there. Unfortunately we had to cancel it because I was feeling terribly ill, more than usual. I don't even know why we thought about it actually because the longest trips I've made lately is a 15 minute tram ride to the city.

But enough rambling, I thought I would share some of the baby stuff that I have managed to gather in the last six months. Not much, but it's a start. I don't want to purchase too many clothes before the baby is born because apparently they grow out of it so quickly. And moreover we are planning to have a baby shower so hoping people are generous.

Confessions of a pregnant woman - week 25

The joys of being pregnant has kind of been overshadowed with constant sickness, but it is all worth it really. There is this tiny little thing growing inside me and he is a quite a show stealer. I literally almost drop everything at hand when he starts kicking. With this kind of performance every day, no wonder I can't stop smiling.

Although I spend most of my time at home these days, I still like to put makeup on. It just makes me feel a bit better both emotionally and physically. The other day I managed to hop on the bus to Frogner to visit Gimle Parfymeri to buy a Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. The weather was lovely and although the bumpy ride on the bus made me queezy it still felt good to be out.

It was my first time at Gimle Parfymeri and I'm so pleased with the service there, really amazing. Buying the right shade for your skin tone is always a tricky one, but the lady who helped me out was spot on. After having using the tinted moisturizer for a couple of days, I can't stop raving enough about this product. It is the best beauty product I have ever bought and I recommend everyone to go out and try it. Leaving your skin glowing and healthy and with a bit of coverage, it's perfect for everyday wear. The price range is on the high end, but it's well worth it. A definite legend.

Bangles

I love wearing all my favorite bracelets and bangles at once. Last week I dragged my friend Katerina to Grunerløkka (thanks for the company sweetie, great to get out of the apartment from time to time). I stopped by Zuzanna G and found a pretty bangle from Tokyo Jane. Already one of my faves.

Wall of fame

In the latest issue of Cover, artist were given the opportunity to share their favorite wall space at home. I thought I would the same. Introducing the wall of fame in our lovely bedroom:

Browsing through the pics, I must admit that this wall sort of reflects my personality, not so much my hubby. Oh well, he did get to choose the pics on the wall, including his much beloved Anfield Road sign. And the electronics of course.

Confessions of a pregnant woman - 23 weeks

I have come to terms with the known fact that I will be spending a lot of time in my apartment for the rest of my pregnant state. As my doctor pointed out, I'm still not getting any better. It's still very exhausting, but looking on the bright side, I know it's temporarily. With every tiny movement that's happening in my stomach, it's becoming more evident that life is growing in there. This can brighten any difficult day.

On the emotional plan I'm still a bit of a wreck, and getting worse every day. I lie awake most of the night due to back pains and that's when things hit me. I'm having baby. Me and my husband will be responsible for another human being. So many questions derive from that. I don't even know where to start. We have been discussing everything from serious matters like savings for our future child to more trivial conversations like the color of the stroller. It's overwhelming, or truthfully really scary, hence me walking around the apartment looking like I wreck. On the verge of becoming an adult, last week I sought comfort in a childhood game, playing dress up. With makeup and heels on I felt ready to take on the world, although the heels went off after five minutes and the rest of the afternoon was spent in bed.

I love that bright colors have been spotted on many of the spring collection runways. A splash of color is what I need after a long, long, cold winter. Found this pretty little thing on mytheresa.com. So lovely and has a price to match its splendor.

Vintage chic

 

This is what I ended up buying on Saturday. I found this treasure at a thrift shop at Markveien. Completely fell in love with it. Been searching for a vintage suitcase for a while now and was so pleased to find a place where they had several. It's such a pretty thing and a perfect storage for my bags. This was a part of my 30th birthday present from my in laws. Thanks a million to them. I really want to buy two more, one for my scarf collection and one for the baby's room. May have to drag hubby or a friend to accompany me next weekend.

Saturday stroll in the sun

This week has been a though week for me, both physically and emotionally. I was therefore very pleased to see that the sun decided to grace us with is presence yesterday. It definitely brightened up a rather gloomy week. Weekends also entitles me to venture out beyond my neighborhood as I sometimes need a helping hand on my outings. Hubby and I strolled around Grunerlökka, window shopping and people browsing. Spring was in the air and hoping that it will stick around for the long run.

We ended up at Bugge's eftf café which is my fave café at Lökka. Ordered chocolate cake and some coffee. The cake became too much for my sensitive stomach as I only had two bites, but it did taste good.

I also ended up buying something which I'm really excited about. Loving it. Watch this space to find out what.

The last couple of days have been really bad, have nearly not been able to get out of bed so I decided that I would treat myself to something pretty for my 30th to cheer me up.
