Travel bug

It's that time of year when my notebooks are usually full of to-do list, to-buy list and etc, when my bedroom has been turned upside down due to packing or repacking, when traveling books are spread around the floor, open pages of some exciting destination, and where my hubby is reassuring me that we have all the necessary documents such as passport, hotel confirmation and etc. Instead, my hubby is cleaning the bathroom, setting up extra shelves for baby products and I'm am playing the "perfect" housewife and preparing him lunch.

Around this time last year, we had already drawn our credit cards in three different countries. This year the closest thing I've ever come to crossing the Norwegian border is doing some baby shopping in our neighboring country Sweden, which is about an hour away with car.

For someone who religiously loves traveling, it's a bit of an understatement to say how difficult it is for me to stay at home this summer. The itch is definitely present. Unfortunately I can't do anything about it at the moment, but wait until it passes.

I am however venturing out on a different adventure this year which makes it all worth it. Priorities eventually change and right now I need to focus on something much more important that my monthly visit from the travel bug.

But I will certainly be welcoming this type of bug every month and I'm hoping the baby will catch it too. No need for medical treatments here.

Confessions of a pregnant woman - week 36: Preparations

Less than four weeks to go. The last couple of weeks hubby and I have been shopping necessities for the baby. We still lack a couple of things, but I will make some time early next week to do some final shopping. I haven't had a good night's sleep for several weeks now, but I still feel way better as I stopped throwing up and the dizziness has finally let go (never thought that would happen). And I guess there's not much to do left than playing the waiting game....

New wallet by accident

I ordered tbe Totally Turnlock wallet from Shopbop as a birthday present for my friend last week. Unfortunately it didn't arrive on time so I decided to buy one at Høyer instead. I was supposed to return the wallet I ordered from Shopbop, but when it turned up on my door I completely fell in love with it. In conclusion a new addition to my collection.

And non alcoholic beverages for the preggies at one of my closest friend's 30th birthday bash. There were quite a few of us actually. Must be the agething. But the lovely hostess had thought about that and had bought in non-alcoholic wine and champagne. The weather was perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, even managed to stay up until midnight. I hope the birthday girl had a blast. Browsing through the pics, it seemed like she did.

What I wore to the party.

Had a minor outfit crisis as the dress that I was suppose to wear was seethrough. So I was frantically looking for something else to wear in my closet which really isn't easy nowadays. Luckily I had this maxi skirt that I just wore as a dress with a belt. Worked out ok I suppose. Crisis averted.

New toy

My iphone 3G died (RIP) a couple of weeks ago and you know what they say; once you go Mac, you never go back. I was devastated for several days and in conclusion I decided to purchase the newly launched (here in Norway) iphone 4 in white. I'm loving it already!

This girl should seriously get more coverage here in Norway. Hanneli Mustaparta is the ultimate Norwegian fashionista. Not only is she making a name for herself stateside, but also the rest of the fashion world. Funny how she really hasn't caught the interest of the Norwegian people. I wish they would give her more credit because she truly is an inspiration.
